KOKO SAVUSAVU FIJI NAMED
BEST LUXURY OCEANVIEW VILLA 2026 - FIJI
AT LUXLIFE TRAVEL & TOURISM AWARDS
FOR THE SECOND CONSECUTIVE YEAR

KOKO Savusavu Fiji has received Best Luxury Oceanview Villa 2026 – Fiji at the tenth annual prestigious LUXlife Travel and Tourism Awards, for the second consecutive year. This latest recognition adds to the villa’s growing legacy of distinction, making KOKO Savusavu Fiji a three-time LUXlife award winner for luxury honeymoon villa excellence in Fiji.

Perched high above the turquoise embrace of Savusavu Bay on Vanua Levu, Fiji’s quieter island,  KOKO Savusavu Fiji has once again been singled out for its extraordinary 270° panoramic ocean views, its absolute privacy, and the rare and deeply personal experience it offers to every couple who arrives at its gate. To be recognised again is not simply an accolade. It is a reflection of the guests whose stories unfold here, and of the people who make those stories possible.

270 DEGREES OF AWARD-WINNING OCEAN VIEWS

270 DEGREES OF AWARD-WINNING OCEAN VIEWS

The view from KOKO Savusavu Fiji is a masterpiece of horizon, an experience that stays with you long after you have left.

What makes these views rare is not merely their breadth, but their life. KOKO’s elevated position above Savusavu Bay offers guests something most beach resorts cannot: perspective. From the villa’s open decks and the pool’s edge, you are looking at a remarkable horizon and a living Fijian bay that uncovers itself as it goes about its day.

Follow the slow arcs of local fishing boats as they trail across the deep-water harbour. Watch visiting yachts drift in and settle at anchor. On quiet afternoons, spot villagers punting bilibili, traditional Fijian bamboo rafts, out across the water. And during peak cruising season between May and October, KOKO commands front-row seats to over 200 international yachts making Savusavu their port of entry into Fiji.

As the light shifts through the day, the bay reinvents itself in a thousand shades, pale gold at dawn, deep sapphire at noon, molten copper at the close of afternoon. It is this perpetual theatre of light, water, and Fijian island life that LUXlife has now recognised two years in a row.

WHERE THE INFINITY POOL MEETS THE HORIZON

WHERE THE INFINITY POOL MEETS THE HORIZON

Some places simply capture the heart. The infinity pool at KOKO Savusavu Fiji is one of them – a sanctuary where guests find themselves returning hour after hour.

Set at the villa’s elevated edge, the pool catches the warm Fiji sun from dawn to dusk, its water shifting from pale glass in the early morning to a deep, shimmering mirror by afternoon. At the infinity edge, the water appears to dissolve seamlessly into the panoramic view of Savusavu Bay below, as though the pool and the ocean are one continuous, unhurried body of water stretching to the horizon.

Soak at the edge with a glass of something cold. Float on your back as the sky moves above you. Step in after dark and drift beneath a canopy of stars uncompromised by city light. However you choose to use it, the pool at KOKO Savusavu Fiji is an escape guests return to, again and again, across the length of every stay.

A FIJIAN VILLA WHERE COUPLES SLOW DOWN AND RECONNECT
Melonie Ryan, Director - KOKO Savusavu Fiji

Designed by UK designer and Owner/Director Melonie Ryan, KOKO Savusavu Fiji blends old-world colonial charm with organic island textures – antique teak furnishings, handwoven details, and wide open-air living spaces that invite the outside in. Set across more than three acres of unspoiled tropical gardens, the villa offers an experience that feels both artfully curated and profoundly untamed.

“We created KOKO to be a sanctuary where couples can slow down, reconnect, and experience the raw beauty of Fiji in total privacy. Being recognised by LUXlife for the third time tells me that what we set out to create is genuinely being felt by every person who arrives here. That means everything.”- Melonie Ryan, Director, KOKO Savusavu Fiji.

Here, mornings stretch gently into golden light as the sun lifts across the bay. Evenings slip into pastel-hued silence, best savoured from the stone infinity pool that seems to melt into the horizon. Days unfold not by itinerary but by island time. Start with a slow breakfast on the balcony, a swim in the company of gentle palm trees, and afternoons adrift on the soft rhythm of the breeze and the endless stretch of ocean blues, rolling ridges, and the ever-changing sky.

OCEANVIEW DINING, MADE ESPECIALLY FOR YOU

OCEANVIEW DINING, MADE ESPECIALLY FOR YOU

Most guests choose to be pampered by their own personal chef from the first morning to the last. Waking up to gorgeous ocean views, guests treat themselves to a lovingly prepared two-course breakfast with choices of homemade dishes including tropical smoothies, fruit plates, a standout spread of KOKO roasted coconut muesli medley and eggs in any which way they feel that morning.

Come evening, KOKO’s extensive undercover decking becomes the setting for something quietly memorable. Kicking back as one of Savusavu’s extraordinary sunsets unfolds across the bay, guests photograph deep orange fading to pink and the water below turning to copper. A three-course dinner draws on the genuine food culture and heritage of this region: traditional Fijian dishes woven with Indian-influenced flavours, prepared using freshly sourced ingredients from the Savusavu market that morning and the town below.

REJUVENATING TREATMENTS, THE FIJIAN WAY

REJUVENATING TREATMENTS, THE FIJIAN WAY

Here, in the lush quiet of the South Pacific, ancient wisdom and modern relaxation converge to create a truly transformative moment of care.

Most guests pre-book traditional Fijian therapeutic massages at the villa and most agree it is one of the highlights of their stay. The masseuse sets up on the pool patio, under the covered deck balcony, or inside the villa – wherever guests feel most at ease. Afterwards, guests are treated to some fresh KOKO tea, and time simply continues at whatever pace they choose.

Guided by practices passed down through the ages, KOKO Savusavu Fiji’s treatments blend genuine Fijian technique with a heartfelt mastery of touch.

BEYOND KOKO SAVUSAVU: SAND & SEA ADVENTURES

BEYOND KOKO SAVUSAVU: SAND & SEA ADVENTURES

While KOKO Savusavu Fiji provides everything needed for a perfect stay without ever leaving the property, Vanua Levu offers a playground for the truly curious with authentic sand and sea adventures truly unique to Savusavu.

Savusavu is a world-class Diving destination. The Namena Marine Reserve, accessible via day trip, protects some of Fiji’s healthiest and most spectacular coral systems. The reserve’s beautiful high-biodiversity reef boasts an incredible array of corals and invertebrates, and over 1,000 fish species. Its sheltered waters also provide refuge to migratory seasonal visitors, including spinner (Stenella longirostris) and bottlenose (Tursiops truncatus) dolphins, and false killer (Pseudorca crassidens), pilot (Globicephala macrorhynchus), sperm (Physeter macrocephalus) and minke (Balaenoptera acutorostrata) whales.

The Reserve’s benefits do not stop below the waves; Namenalala Island is an important seabird nesting area, protecting over 600 pairs of red-footed boobies, and is a nesting ground for the critically endangered hawksbill (Eretmochelys imbricata) sea turtle. Even non-divers can fully appreciate these waters through snorkelling, and PADI diving certifications are available in Savusavu for those who want to go deeper.

For something uniquely Savusavu, guests have ventured out on a private hidden sandbank experience in the bay – a stretch of white sand that appears with the tide, that quite often could be entirely yours. It is the kind of experience that does not appear in guidebooks, and that you will talk about long after you return home.

BEYOND KOKO SAVUSAVU: UNIQUE ADVENTURE TOURS

BEYOND KOKO SAVUSAVU: UNIQUE ADVENTURE TOURS

Vanua Levu’s interior and coastline hold experiences that feel genuinely off the tourist map because, for the most part, they still are.

The J. Hunter Pearl Farm, visible from KOKO’s own infinity pool, welcomes visitors to discover the art and science of black pearl cultivation in Savusavu’s warm, mineral-rich waters, and to purchase directly from the producers. It is one of Fiji’s finest pearling operations, and one of the world’s most distinctive farm-to-jewellery experiences.

Wasali Nature Reserve protects 280 hectares of virgin rainforest, threaded with walking trails that range from leisurely strolls to full-day challenging treks. The birdwatching is exceptional. Fiji’s endemic species thrive undisturbed in these protected forests, and the silence of the canopy above is something city-dwellers rarely encounter.

Hidden throughout the island, multiple waterfalls with natural swimming holes await. On most days, you will have the entire cascade entirely to yourselves.

KOKO Savusavu Fiji’s staff provide guidance for our favorite adventures. The exploration is yours; the local knowledge is included.
